Hilesh utilizes text and lettering and figure-based imagery with mediums such as oils, watercolor, ink, wood, metal and paper. He also revisits a personal and artistic history with aerosol and graffiti as a viable and alternative artmaking tool. Since then he has integrated tagging, stenciling and public political statements into his body of work. Text, Hinduism, Animism and politics are intertwined with instincts, language and emotion surfacing in the most unexpected ways.

Hilesh's work can contain specific inferences evident in a series of paintings and public displays of the Hindu god Ganesh in different personas or be more general in a display of silhouettes with text or animals escaping from orifices.
