Amie Sell was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin and, as a part of a military family, spent her teenage years living in Rota, Spain.  She graduated from the University of WI-Green Bay in 2002 with a degree in Art & Museum & Gallery Studies.  As a sculpturer, she explores materialism, consumerism & various facets of American culture by reconstructing objects, reconfiguring space and conducting un-scientific-like experiments with materials.  Through her artistic lense, she finds beauty in everyday objects and happy accidents.  She enjoys working in various mediums, curating art, hours of rigorous pondering, combing alleys for materials and short walks on the beach.  Someday she hopes to discover the bridge to teaching art and science together.
