Seth Gershberg

Seth is a Chicago based artist working in video, photography and post-production processing.

Seth actively works on video installation and CAD's Tube Series, a curated monthly installation located in the storefront window of 1833 South Halsted.

He loves technology. He loves science. He loves art. He loves Urban life.  He is fascinated by the visual sensation created by industrial and urban decay.  Images of smokestacks, warehouses and industrial wreckage frequent his work.  Seth is also a futurist and interested in the concepts surrounding the inevitable intersection of robots, artificial intelligence and human life in the near future.  And these themes show up in his work as well.  Photos, videos, 3d animation, science experiments, and technical data form the source material used to create visual environments.

As a VJ Seth is a veteran of Chicago's underground music and art scene and is a regular visual performer at warehouse parties, lofts and other "below the radar" venues where electronic music and visual art thrive. Seth has shared the stage mixing live video with Mixmaster Mike and DJ Craze at Lollapalooza (2006/2007), and Chicago House legend Paul Johnson, to name a few. He has also held visual projectionist residencies at Sonotheque and Subterranean and has been a feature performer at Chicago's 24 hour art festival Looptopia. Seth is also a co-founder of the Chicago art collective MFChicago.
