Imamissmichaeljackson.com announces the Michael Jackson Memorial Portrait Contest! Imamissmichaeljackson.com is an online celebration of Michael Jackson through aggregated media. We will invite up to 5 artists to participate in an online exhibition and auction via our site.
The contest is open to Chicagoland area artists, amateur, emerging, and professional. We invite artists working in all styles and schools of the visual arts to submit--however paintings, drawings, collages, prints, and other works on paper will be given preference due to the nature of the exhibition and auction. Experimental and mixed techniques are welcome. Submission must contain Michael Jackson's likeness.

Proposals for the Michael Jackson Memorial Portrait Contest are being accepted via email at memorial@imamissmichaeljackson.com. Proposals will be accepted until 5:00pm CST on Wednesday, July 22, 2009. That means you have TWO WEEKS to get your Jackson on, if you haven't yet already! (Check out the website for inspiration concentrated.)
When you have completed your work and are ready submit, compose an email with the subject: “SUBMISSION: [name of artist]” and attach up to 3 images. (Contestants may submit up to 3 different works.)
Please DO NOT SEND RAW nor PSD files. Please submit JPGs ONLY!

We will select up to 5 winners, to be contacted no later than July 24, 2009. Winners must sign an agreement with Imamissmichaeljackson.com governing the terms of the exhibition and auction. Winners will be announced online July 25, 2009.
