I wanted to let you know about a new magazine called The Arts Politic <http://theartspolitic.com> , relevant to the Chicago Art Department.

The Arts Politic is a print-and-online magazine dedicated to solving problems at the intersection of arts and politics. Arts policy, cultural activism, arts advocacy, political art, arts economics — The Arts Politic explores the field of arts politics issues, ideas, creative work and thinking. A quorum for creative and political thinking and a stage for emerging art, The Arts Politic is a new space that is provocative, that is visionary, that is thoughtful…that will TAP into new ideas from the frontlines to get things done.

We are currently accepting submissions for our June 2009 issue. We are seeking, among other submissions, visual art that deals with political, social and economic issues.  Would you be willing to circulate our Submissions Guidelines to your community?  We would love to include the CAD community and any other artists whom you think might be interested.
